Gotham Volleyball League is proud to present our third NAGVA sanctioned Master's Tournament, a tournament for players 35 years of age and older. We're also happy to host our "Green Apple" tournament for our C level players of all ages to get a taste of tournament play. We hope these events celebrate the growing strength and diversity of the LGBT community at every age.

You can find all of the details about the tournament here! If you have any questions, email us and we'll work to get them resolved. We look forward to seeing you in New York City this November.

Thanks,
Lew Smith

Rules:

The New York Golden Apple Masters Tournament will follow the rules of play as described in the NAGVA Rules and Regulations.

Officiating:

NAGVA Rules and Regulations states in Section 6 that teams must provide a certified 1st referee and a certified scorekeeper for all matches. This rule will be enforced at the Golden Apple. Further, the rules state that if a team cannot provide a certified 1st referee or certified scorekeeper, they must pay the cost of obtaining one from the tournament committee.

The Officiating and Scorekeeping Clinics are now online. Please go to www.nagva.org for more information.

Teams without a NAGVA certified up-official or scorekkeeper will be required to pay $20 per match to obtain a 1st referee for the remaining matches they are responsible for reffing.
If a team cannot provide a 1st referee or scorekeeper and does not pay the required fee, they WILL NOT play at the tournament and will not receive a refund.
For more information about the clinic or the NAGVA Officiating Program, please contact the representative in charge of the program here.
